Tiffany Haddish and Common have been an item for a minute now. However, the private couple has kept things pretty lowkey, sans a steady Silhouette Challenge video earlier this year officially solidifying their union. After two years together, Haddish opens up about her expectations and how she does not need anything too “extra” from her rapper turned actor beau.
The Girls Trip star is not interested in lavish gifts or engagement rings either. But, if Common wants to take things to the next level or gift his lady something special, Haddish is more interested in investments than material things.
“I’m happy where I am right now, I’m enjoying it. I’m not going to put nothing extra on it. If he want to marry me, he can get me an apartment building.” She told Celebrity news outlet Extra. “Give me a duplex, an eightplex, or something. (Friends will ask me), ‘What? I thought you were engaged, where are your carats?’ ‘Carats? Girl, please, I got units!’ ” she says.
She continued, “This is going to appreciate over time.
The ring might lose its value but land, now that right there. I want a deed. That’s h-o-t!” Giving more context to her statement, Haddish elaborated on her idea of a soul mate. She does not subscribe to the notion and instead feels like a relationship will serve you as long as it’s supposed to. “I believe people are there at the right time they are there for you. Maybe there’s multiple soul mates.”
