The 50-year-old Real Housewives of Atlanta star posted the good news to her Instagram account on Friday evening, saying her 77-year-old mother had been found ‘safe & healthy’.
‘The power of prayer is UNdeniable!’ she captioned the exultant post.
Whitfield announced Wednesday that her mother has been missing for more than two weeks.
The reality TV star shared the disturbing news in an Instagram post featuring a photo of her mother.
Thelma Ferguson was last seen by her family on March 23 when she left her home to go to her bank, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Shereé posted a beaming closeup of her mother, along with a lengthy caption calling for prayers and outlining the situation.
‘I was hesitant to post my concerns for my mother’s safe return because, although I have been in close contact with the police for the past two weeks, I’m also pretty private when it comes to my family,’ she wrote.
Also, in the past, my mom has taken personal vacations without letting the family know and we respect that side of her.
However, this is the longest she have gone without reaching out to anyone from the family or her friends.
Right now we are leaning on God and staying positive and prayerful for her safe return home.’ Whitfield is among the original cast of The Real Housewives Of Atlanta, which began airing in 2008.
She was married to the Atlanta Falcons player Bob Whitfield from 2000–2007.
Shereé alleged that her husband was abusive during their relationship and later became an ambassador for the National Coalition Against Domestic Vi’lence.She shares two children with the NFL star: a son, Kairo, 24, and a daughter, Kaileigh, 21.
The reality star also has an older daughter, Tierra Fuller, from a previous relationship.
