Mo’Nique to Replace Octavia Spencer in ‘Demon House’ After Squashing Beef With Lee Daniels

AceShowbiz – Mo’Nique has finally ended her years-long feud with Lee Daniels. Now that they have rekindled their professional relationship, the Grammy-winning actress and the filmmaker are teaming up for a new movie called “Demon House”, in which she will replace Octavia Spencer.

Lee apologized to Mo’Nique during her “Mo’Nique and Friends: April Fools Day with The Queen of Comedy” event at St. George Theatre in Staten Island. In a video surfacing online, the two were seen embracing each other as the 62-year-old said, “I am so sorry for hurting you in any way that I did. Y’all, and she was my best friend – my best friend.”

“Y’all think that Precious was just… That was God working, through both of us… And we’re gonna f**king do it again!” Lee exclaimed, before he started dancing on the stage and hugged the comedienne. They later exchanged “I love you.”

Mo’Nique, who stars in Lee’s 2009 film “Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire”, didn’t speak with the director for 13 years. She accused him, Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry of blackballing her because she didn’t promote the movie but choosing to spend time with her family instead.

Earlier this month, 50 Cent inserted himself in Mo’Nique’s feud with Oprah and Tyler as he urged the two to apologize to Mo’Nique. “’I’m sure Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry would not want to continue to allow [their] influence to damage @therealmoworldwide career and this has went on for way to long,” the “Power” alum wrote on Instagram on March 14.

“So now would be a great time to apologize because i’m gonna put her back on,” the 46-year-old rapper/actor, born Curtis James Jackson III, further stressed. He then added, “I don’t miss!”

On the next day, Fiddy divulged that the “A Madea Homecoming” actor told him that “he never told anyone not to hire @therealmoworldwide and he is happy i decided to work with her.” The emcee added, “He said he couldn’t speak for Oprah but he is sure she is fine with monique and has even brought her up for things monique has no idea about,” the emcee added. “I’m so happy for Mo right now ! She Back.”

As for “Demon House”, the film will narrate multiple exorcisms that plagued Latoya Ammons and her three children in Gary, Indiana around 2011. Mo’Nique is set to play a social worker who assists the family through the exorcisms. The cast also includes Andra Day, Glenn Close, Rob Morgan, Caleb McLaughlin and Aunjanue Ellis.
